Goatsbeard - Aruncus dioicus " (Rose family - Rosaceae) " Although each flower is small, the large spray of the inflorescence makes a striking display. The showy finger-like flower clusters form feathery masses of all male or all female flowers.
Pistillate flowers occur on different plants from staminate flowers; hence the species name, combining two Greek words, di, "two," and oikos, "house."
